    Dynamic US Pavilion design embraces ‘spirit of mobility’

    In line with its theme of ‘What Moves You? The Spirit of Mobility’, the US Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai will project a sense of movement, giving the impression that the building itself is in motion

    Home to ‘New York, the City That Never Sleeps’, the United States of America is well known for its fast pace of life and rapid development, so it should come as no surprise that the US Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai will embrace the ‘spirit of mobility’.

    Located in Expo 2020’s Mobility Thematic District, Pavilion USA 2020 aims to immerse visitors in innovation, showcasing technologies and concepts such as hyperloop with the potential to move humanity into the future.

    The pavilion will also use dance, music, theatre, literature, art, food, sport and other cultural touchpoints to demonstrate the diverse nature of the country’s states and territories to the world.

    The dynamic structure was designed by renowned American architect Curtis W Fentress. In line with its theme, ‘What Moves You? The Spirit of Mobility’, the circular pavilion features slants fashioned to project the sensation of movement, giving the impression that the building itself is in motion.

    Pavilion USA 2020 is a public-private partnership between the US Department of State and a consortium of leading US private sector entities. Together, the project team will fund, design, build, operate and, ultimately, decommission the structure.

    PepsiCo, Expo 2020 Dubai’s Official Beverage and Snack Partner, will be the pavilion’s lead sponsor and Official Beverage Partner.

    The US is the latest country to reveal the design and theme of its pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai. More are expected to follow in the coming months.
