India’s culinary traditions abound in celebratory dishes and desserts across the Expo 2020 Dubai site, as the festival of lights is marked in style next week.

A heady mix of aniseed, cardamom, cumin, fenugreek and saffron can be found in Expo’s diverse array of Indian restaurants, from high-end Indian dining courtesy of Rohit Ghai, to Diwali-themed baking classes at Bread Ahead Bakery, and a delightful sweet and savoury menu at Farrago.

2020 Club by Emaar presents an exclusive Diwali dinner, with five contemporary cuisines to choose from. The restaurant’s farm-to-table concept features scores of organic and local ingredients in line with Expo 2020’s sustainability ethos.

Expo 2020 is celebrating Diwali across a variety of vibrant events, including a showcase of the country’s art, culture, cinema and cuisine at the India Pavilion; a Diwali edition of music festival Late Nights at Expo; and a stunning, specially curated 360-degree illumination projection show at Al Wasl Plaza.
