The clock is ticking for UAE citizens and residents who want be a part of making history to sign up for the Expo 2020 Volunteers Programme, which has announced an application deadline of 31 March 2021.
The largest volunteers programme in the UAE will select 30,000 volunteers to be the face of Expo 2020 Dubai and contribute to its success. At the heart of the action, volunteers will demonstrate Emirati culture, values and traditions to people from all over the world while gaining lifelong skills, building connections, and making extraordinary memories.
The Programme – with the support of Etisalat, the Official Premier Partner of Expo 2020 Volunteers – has already gone above and beyond its initial target of 100,000 applications, receiving more than 160,000 expressions of interest from those eager to seize this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
It is open to anyone over the age of 18, regardless of their nationality or education level, as long as they are fluent in English, have strong communication skills, and are able to volunteer for 10 shifts. Candidates will be screened and interviewed, and those selected will then be taken through a series of programmes and activities to prepare them for their roles.
Many volunteers have already left their mark in exciting events in the journey to Expo 2020, including countdown celebrations, the Expo 2020 Pavilions Premiere and community engagement activities.
