Licence to thrill – Expo Host Broadcaster named

Official media organisation of the Government of Dubai will play a central role in broadcasting activities from the Expo 2020 site

The rich sights and sounds of Expo 2020 Dubai will be beamed to a global audience of hundreds of millions by Dubai Media Incorporated (DMI), which has been announced as the Official Host Broadcaster for the first World Expo in the Arab world.

The Official Host Broadcaster will play a pivotal role in managing and facilitating broadcasting activities from the Expo 2020 site and will be responsible for providing a daily video feed to television companies around the world using the latest technology.

DMI is the official media organisation of the Government of Dubai, incorporating a number of print, radio and TV channels under its umbrella. It serves consumers regionally and internationally with content across multi-media platforms, including Dubai TV, Dubai One, Al Bayan and Dubai Radio.

The agreement was signed by Najeeb Mohammed Al-Ali, Executive Director of Expo 2020 Dubai Bureau, and Ahmed Saeed Al Mansouri, CEO of Radio and TV Sector, DMI.

Expo 2020 will present The World’s Greatest Show, offering an unmissable and ever-changing menu of activities for all, from entertainment and food and beverage to arts and culture and the latest innovations from all over the world.

It will provide a once-in-a-lifetime experience to millions of visitors of all ages and nationalities, with more than 60 daily live shows during its 173-day duration.
