    What’s involved in an Expo pavilion?

    From construction to queuing, souvenir sales to waste management, there is a lot to consider when preparing an exceptional Expo pavilion

    They came from all around the world to learn how they will help bring the world to Expo 2020 Dubai next year. From constructing their pavilions to showcasing their national dish, participants gathered in Dubai to discover the latest updates in operational planning for what will be the largest event ever held in the Arab World.

    Hundreds of attendees were given a window into the range of innovative solutions and processes Expo 2020 will deploy in its plans to raise the bar for the World Expo visitor experience.

    Information on smart queuing capabilities, retail-in-a-box solutions, and even waste management processes will help them prepare for the rapidly-approaching event, while there is a lot to be done behind the scenes, too, from insurance packages and accommodation to visas, customs and accreditation.

    More than 450 attendees – including international participants, commercial partners and government entities – were briefed on the lot at the latest International Participants Technical Meeting, and will be kept up-to-date on milestones over the coming months as preparations to create 173 momentous days continue at pace.

    Expo 2020 will be the most inclusive World Expo in history, with 192 participating countries, each with their own pavilion for the first time. Each country will have the opportunity to contribute to 60 live events per day, more than 200 food and beverage outlets and fun festivities that reflect their cultures.

    With 530 days to go until doors open to the six-month event, more countries are set to reveal their exciting plans for millions of Expo 2020 visitors.
