Party with the world, as Expo promises unforgettable National Days for all 192 participating countries

Enjoy new celebrations each visit, as every nation participating in Expo 2020 prepares a cultural showcase including its finest entertainment and most mouthwatering dishes

Whether you’re catching a vibrant live performance or trying a delicious cuisine for the first time, National Day celebrations at Expo 2020 Dubai will offer opportunities galore to immerse yourself in cultures from every corner of the planet.

Each of the 192 participating countries will take to the iconic Al Wasl Plaza for their National Day, where visitors can look forward to sensational displays of music, dance, drama and much more. The events will also be repeated across the site, allowing for greater interaction with visitors.

Other international participants, including international organisations, also are planning celebrations for their own dedicated Honour Day.

The six-month calendar blends a mix of regions and cultures in the same week, providing a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for millions to explore the world in one location – without their passport.

Visitors can sample a real flavour of each nation, with traditional dishes also on offer at the Expo Culinary Experience restaurants.

Expo 2020 and Emirates Flight Catering will be calling on all participating countries to provide authentic recipes to create dishes for their National Day – allowing visitors to sample global cuisines they may have never considered before stepping through the Expo 2020 gates.

The special celebrations are just one example of how visitors can taste, discover, explore and engage with cultures from across the globe during the 173 days of Expo 2020.

Expo’s National Day and Honour Day plans were recently discussed during an International Participants Technical Meeting that focused on event-time logistics and pavilion planning. With more than 200 international participants, including 192 nations, Expo 2020 will be the most inclusive World Expo ever.

The World’s Greatest Show opens in about 450 days – on 20 October, 2020 – and will celebrate human brilliance as well as food, music, technology, culture and creativity from all over the world.
