Expo 2020 expresses its love for the UAE

Letter of love is penned as Expo 2020 and the nation prepare to host the world together next year

To show our gratitude and admiration for the UAE, Expo 2020 Dubai has penned a heartfelt letter of love addressed to the nation.

It has been more than five years since Dubai won the bid to host the 2020 World Expo, marking the start of a treasured national journey that continues to evolve and surprise by the day.

The handwritten letter offers both a nostalgic window into the past and an exciting glimpse into the future, as together Expo 2020 and the UAE prepare to welcome the world for six months from October next year.

It touches upon the celebrations that “swept across” the nation on 27 November, 2013, and the outpouring of excitement and pride sparked by the announcement of Dubai’s winning bid.

“Thank you for walking this road with me, and for your support and love,” the letter goes on to say. “Together we are creating the ‘I was there’ moment of our time.”
