    A downloadable social guide for people to understand what to expect when they visit will be available closer to Expo 2020.

    Expo 2020 will provide easy-to-read information via the PODium app. The Information Centres can provide more information.

    Staff will have communication cards to assist communication with people who are non-verbal.

    Sunflower lanyards, known as hidden impairment lanyards, are available at Information Centres for any visitor who wishes to be identified as having a hidden impairment. These are distributed free of charge.

    Expo 2020 has four dedicated quiet rooms. Located at four of the Information Centres, they provide spaces for people feeling overstimulated. They contain a sofa, an innovative Sensory pod, and a sensory corner.
    Visually-impaired visitors
    Guide Dogs are welcome at Expo 2020. Please refer to Service dog relief areas for more details.

    Tactile paving is provided within the Expo 2020 site in standard locations for wayfinding guidance.

    Hundreds of points of interest across the site will have audio descriptions, accessed via the Expo 2020 app.

    The Sustainability Pavilion offers a touch tour, an opportunity for visually-impaired visitors to experience the exhibits in a highly personalised way. It provides an up-close experience to see, with the mind’s eye, what is being explored tactilely, such as the dimensions of a structure, the architecture, the texture and the fine details.

    In case there is a need to evacuate, you will be informed by audible information and Expo 2020 staff will be available to direct you.
    Hearing impaired visitors
    Hearing enhancement systems are provided at key counters such as ticketing, Information Centres, some exhibitions, some performance areas, and retail counters. They will be indicated by appropriate signage.

    Visitors will find open captions on a number of videos throughout Expo 2020. Some events will provide live captioning, either directly on a screen or accessed via a link and viewed on a personal smartphone. Event information will be continuously updated through the events calendar and will mention if live captions are provided.

    Sign language interpretation will be provided in Arabic (Emirati) and English (International Sign Language) for some official speeches, talks, and ceremonies. The Sustainability Pavilion will offer weekly signed tours with alternating weeks in English and Arabic.

    For on-demand sign language services, details can be obtained from the Information Centre or the Expo Contact Centre.

    In case there is a need to evacuate, you will be informed by flashing beacons throughout the site and Expo 2020 staff will be available to direct you.
    Visitors with photosensitive epilepsy
    If you are photosensitive and can have seizures caused by light, we recommend asking the advice of your doctor before visiting Expo 2020.

    There are many visual and lighting special effects at Expo 2020, including daily fireworks. The lighting special effects may include strobes and pulsating lights as well as various effects.
    Visitors with reduced mobility
    Expo 2020 provides manual and electric wheelchairs for hire. These can be obtained on a first come, first served basis from Information Centres.

    Wheelchair charging stations will be available at the Visitor Centres, located below the escalators.

    Service counters, ATMs, drinking fountains and vending machines are at accessible heights.

    There are dedicated viewing areas in parts of Expo 2020, including the Starlight arena.

    There are accessible toilets located throughout Expo 2020.
