    The nearest airports to Expo 2020 Dubai are Dubai International (DXB) and Dubai World Central (DWC).

    People of determination receive complimentary parking for two hours at all terminals at DXB. The parking ticket needs to be validated in the terminal. There is free parking at DWC for all passengers. There are prioritised drop-off areas for passengers requiring assistance at both DXB and DWC.

    Check-in areas – There are dedicated check-in areas for people of determination at DXB and DWC.

    Toilets – Throughout DXB and DWC, there are accessible toilets.

    Wheelchair access – If you or any of your family members require assistance, including access to wheelchairs, please inform your airline in advance so they can arrange assistance on arrival.
    The Dubai Metro Red Line from Dubai International Airport connects to Route 2020 line at Nakheel Harbour and Tower Station, which takes you to Expo 2020 Dubai. Metro stations have tactile paving to facilitate access for visually-impaired people. All stations on the Red and Green lines have wheelchair access either via step free routes or lifts.

    There is designated seating for those less able to stand on all metro trains.

    Station announcements are made both visually and audibly in Arabic and English.
    Expo Rider buses
    There will be 580 Expo Rider buses operated by the Dubai Road and Transport Authority (RTA) free of charge for Expo 2020 visitors. These buses have low floors and are capable of lowering to provide ramped access. Aisle widths enable a wheelchair to move down the bus and there are spaces for two wheelchairs.

    Bus stop announcements are made both visually and audibly in Arabic and English.

    Locations where you can catch the rider across the United Arab Emirates will be available soon.
    Dubai’s taxis are easily identified by their cream body colour and the colour of the roof signifies which company operates them. Taxis can be booked by phone. Alternatively, there are also two mobile apps you can use to book: Careem and Uber.

    There are limited wheelchair accessible taxis, so pre-booking is recommended.

    Accessible public/private vehicle hire

    For those wishing to hire an accessible private car and driver or public Demand Responsive Transit (DRT), also known as Dial-a-Ride-transit (DART), Inclusion Services LLC provides accessible vehicles for Abu Dhabi, Dubai and all of the UAE with pre-booking.
    Car parks will operate from 8:30 to 1:30 on weekdays, and to 2:30 on weekends/special days. There are three dedicated accessible parking zones for people of determination at Expo 2020. As you approach the parking zones, there will be signs for the accessible parking zones.

    • 110 spaces at the Opportunity parking zone (from the E77 Expo Road)
    • 250 spaces at the Sustainability parking zone (from the D54 Zayed Bin Hamdan al Nahyan)
    • 96 spaces at the Mobility parking zone (from the E311 Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road) 

    A valid United Arab Emirates people of determination parking permit will be required.

    Overseas visitors can apply for a temporary parking permit from the Road and Transport Authority (RTA) at Umm Ramool or Al Manarah centres with their passport, visa, personal photo, proof of Dubai address and either the parking permit from the home country or evidence of disability.

    There will be wheelchair accessible buggies from these car parks to the arrivals plaza.
    Standard Car Park Shuttles
    Standard car park shuttles will operate from each of the four car parks ensuring that you don’t need to walk more than 400m from your vehicle to the gate.

    Car park colours will correspond to the gate:

    • Orange – Opportunity parking
    • Purple – World parking
    • Green – Sustainability parking
    • Blue – Mobility parking

    There are over 26,000 parking spaces, and shuttles will operate from 8:30 to 1:30 on weekdays, and to 3:30 on weekends/special days.
    Expo People Mover
    There will be 27 dedicated low floor buses enabling people to move around the Expo 2020 site for free. There are 14 stops (all accessible) and the buses arrive every 3 minutes.
    Expo 2020 train
    The Expo 2020 train will provide a unique experience in parts of the Expo site. It is accessible for wheelchair users.
    Autonomous vehicles
    Autonomous vehicles provide another unique experience for sustainable future transportation. They are fully accessible for wheelchair users. Colour-contrasted operational buttons include Braille, and a visual information display panel contains route details.
